Foundational Reading Training

Customized Foundational Reading Workshops for teachers in 6th grade and above to help address the needs of students with text reading obstacles.

Workshops—offered as full‑day or half‑day sessions—focus on strengthening the current classroom curriculum by integrating high‑impact foundational reading practices. Participants learn practical strategies for teaching multisyllabic reading and spelling, along with comprehension routines that support students as they navigate grade‑level texts and content‑specific materials across academic and CTE courses.

Pathways to Meaning Training

This one-day workshop deepens teachers’ understanding of how comprehension actually works, beyond accuracy and fluency, so they can better support students who “read the words” but struggle to make meaning. Participants explore the cognitive processes behind connecting ideas, building mental models, and monitoring understanding. Through practical routines and modeling, teachers learn how to help students move from surface‑level reading to purposeful, engaged comprehension across grade‑level and content‑area texts.
